Bobby Brame, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of South Carolina. His research emphasizes the study of how criminal involvement develops and changes over the life span.
Alexes Harris, Ph.D. is currently in a postdoctoral research position in the Department of Sociology at the University of Washington. Her research is in the area of juvenile justice with a focus on the juvenile court waiver process. She is particularly interested in how juvenile court officials construct and present assessments of minors' amenability to the juvenile court. Her dissertation employed both qualitative and statistical methodologies to examine the juvenile court institution in California. Beginning fall 2004 she will assume an Assistant Professorship position in the Department of Sociology at the University of Washington.
